Sneak peek of a few highlights

Angkor Wat
Measuring a site of 162.6 hectares, the famous temple complex is the largest religious monument in the world.
Ta Phrom
Unlike most Angkorian temples, Ta Prohm is in much the same condition in which it was found. The photogenic and atmospheric combination of trees growing out of the ruins and the jungle surroundings have made it one of Angkor’s most popular temples.
Tonle Sap Lake
As one of the world’s most varied and productive ecosystems, the region has always been of central importance for Cambodia’s food supply

Day 2 Siem Reap

Be prepared to be overwhelmed as today is all about Angkor. No doubt you've seen photos of the epic Angkor Wat, the largest and most important of the Angkor Temples, full of courtyards and carvings. Then there's the mysterious Bayon Temple with its giant smiling stone faces. And let's not forget the haunting beauty of Ta Phrom - left to the clutches of the jungle, bound by the roots of massive trees. But nothing can prepare you for the sheer scale and the spiritual atmosphere that you will experience when seeing these ancient monuments in real life.
We will of course, visit all the above, plus many more renowned and lesser known temples. To end a perfect day, we'll climb to the upper terraces of one of the ancient temples to view the sunset.

Overnight in Siem Reap.
Meals: Breakfast.

Day 3 Siem Reap

Morning and explore how the Cambodian people are making Khmer rice noodles or Nom Banh Chok.
Preah Dak village is one the most beautiful villages nearby the temples. The village is popular in the entire region for its rice noodles. Enjoy a bowl of Nom Banh Chok for your traditional breakfast before we will continue to another small village where we will observe street vendors preparing palm sugar. Palm trees are very important for Khmer people as they use most of the plant including the stem, leaves, trunk, fruits and flowers. They create a palm juice with a distinct smell and flavor that is mainly for local consumption.

Later-on we will visit Banteay Srei, which is one of the most romantic temples in Angkor. Built from pink sandstone, the walls are covered in exquisitely preserved carvings of unusual delicacy.

All you need to do today is sit back on a boat, relax and enjoy the views of Kampong Kleang, a fishing community on the edge of the Tonle Sap Lake. We'll cruise past wooden houses built on towering stilts, submerged forests and fish farms. Today's Highlights: Family interaction, Banteay Srei temple and Boat trip around Kampong Kleang. (4 hours)
